Coach Jordan is a former NCAA volleyball player who competed at the University of California, Santa Cruz. She earned her degree in developmental psychology before pursuing a master’s in education, combining her passion for both athletics and teaching. Currently an educator, Coach Jordan is dedicated to developing young athletes and growing the sport of volleyball in the Santa Cruz community. Her experience as a collegiate athlete and educator makes her a strong mentor both on and off the court.
Branden Torado is the Head Coach at Cabrillo College, bringing both passion and experience to the program. A graduate of UC Santa Cruz, he competed at the NCAA level and helped lead his team in the pursuit of a national championship. Guided by his belief in mudita—the celebration of others—Branden is dedicated to fostering growth, teamwork, and positivity both on and off the court. He is committed to giving back to the game of volleyball and to the community that has supported him throughout his journey.
Coach Gavin attends UCSC, having competed with the Men’s NCAA and Club volleyball programs in his two years so far. In his most recent year, he coached for the UCSC Women’s Club Volleyball team in their first-ever year as a program, while also earning his place on the DII, All-League NCCVL team that same season. Now, Coach Gavin is entering into his final year at UCSC, finishing up his BA in Business Management Economics, while head coaching the UCSC Women’s Club team this upcoming season.

Coach Maddie recently attended and competed on the Beach Volleyball team at Santa Barbara City College for their 2023-2024 season. While playing for SBCC, she also served as the Assistant Beach Volleyball Coach at Oak Park High School in Southern California, from which she graduated in 2023. Coach Maddie completed SBCC in one year, graduating with Honors and an AA degree in Journalism. After transferring, she started and competed on the first Women’s Club Volleyball Team at UCSC. Now, she is entering her junior year, majoring in Film & Digital Media/Literature, while working on campus at UCSC’s Athletics and Recreation Center as a Facility Operations Supervisor.
